More than just an end zone
The Green Bay “west side story” is this: We’re home to a number of very friendly neighborhoods – many with established trees and other mature landscaping that add up to your own in-town escape after a long day. Neighbors know each other and are as likely to see each other at neighborhood association meetings, the Market on Military (a farmers’ market) and park events as at their next door’s patio for after-work cocktails.
Our parks are a place of congregation and community as well as a destination for walking trails, swimming, ice hockey and kickball tournaments. For example, check out Colburn Park for an Olympic-sized pool or Fireman’s Park where the kiddos come out full force on the popular sledding hill or you can take advantage of the conservancy trail.
Marquette Park Neighborhood consists of single- and multiple-family dwellings. This neighborhood gives you a sense of “home” with friendly neighbors, a beautiful park and old-growth trees. Within the neighborhood is a plethora of businesses such as home and auto repair shops, beauty salons, counseling services, restaurants and wellness centers.
The Colburn Neighborhood is a popular one given its central location to Lambeau Field and the ever-growing and vibrant Titletown District next door in the Village of Ashwaubenon. The neighborhood is made up of single-family homes on the perimeter streets of Mason and Military. It is surely a great place to raise a family, retire or walk your dogs. Colburn Neighborhood offers a variety of things to do: There are a plethora of schools, shopping, food and banking businesses that are within walking distance. Colburn Park is a hit for most recreational needs featuring an Olympic-sized pool, multiple parks, ball courts, ice-hockey rink and pet-friendly walking trails. In addition, there are Farmers Markets held both in the summer and winter seasons.
Olde Norwood Neighborhood is a notoriously friendly and inclusive neighborhood that is near Lambeau Field and downtown Green Bay. All residents are willing and able to lend a helping hand to those in need. The neighborhood has many long-time residents who are proud of their homes and the community also has its own corner grocery store.
